I did a layout recently of my new sweet nephew, that I thought I'd share. Flowers aren't just for girlie layouts!
I traced a chipboard heart onto cardstock, and added random stamps on it. I hand wrote his name, and the word months, and cut them out (slowly and tediously, lol) I used up an older title block that I've had since his older cousin was born 2 years ago. That got inked and added underneath part of the title and journaling. It really isn't a difficult layout, but because of the hand piecing it does look intricate. Hope this inspires you a little! Have a great day! ~RonniH.
BTW, double click the photos to see bigger. :)

I am a slacker!

Sorry what can I say......I have been so bad this week. Thanks to Ronni for covering for me lol I have nothing to share. I havent been working on anything lately.

I have been hanging out with my sister and Kbear. I have been veggin' and taking photos. I have some cute waterpark pictures from when we took the kids a couple of weeks ago. I have my cruise photos to work on. i have some cards to make. I have my Alaska photos to go through and order/print.

oh I have lots to do and work on. I just dont have the motivation to do it. Sorry ladies (and gentlemen). I am slacking. And you know what? It kinda feels good! LOL

But we are a couple of weeks behind on our challenges bc of the darn technical issues we had. I am hoping to be able to post a couple this weekend for you to look at.

Wish me luck!

playing around

Here's another easy layout you can reproduce yourself. Some kraft cardstock, a little paint, and some ink and stamps, and you're set. I put a small dollop of paint on an old credit card, and just swiped it down the cardstock. Once dry, I stamped some circles with staz-on. And then added some other circle stamped with Tim Holtz's ink. Couple of buttons. A title. Some journalling, and viola! Have a great day!

How's your summer?

How's your summer so far? I have a quick layout to show you I did of my daughter's "summer shoes" (btw, the photo has some post processing done, so it looks better in real life)
This is actually a very simple layout, done with just a few products. The cardstock and patterned paper are Jilly Bean. I have a total love affair happening right now with kraft cardstock! I used a page from a mini-album (from Fancy Pants, I believe) to cut out my artisian shape. I cut out a few flowers from the remaining patterned paper, and inked the edges of them too.
I had a Little Yellow Bicycle transparency that I put under the title (that has the intials of the days of the week on it) A few buttons. The number stamp is from Tim Holtz, and the journal block is Autumn Leaves. I sewed right through my title. Added some cute little letter stickers as a subtitle, a little ink around the edges and some pen work, and ta-da!
Hopefully everyone is finding their way to us, I heard there were some problems with the last blog. As always, I love to hear your comments, and if you have any questions about the layout or any techniques, please just ask! I love to hear from you!
See you soon,
RonniH.

NEW in store

It's the most wonderful time of the year....

...Well the 2nd most wonderful time :) I love CHA time (Craft and Hobby Association). There are 2 shows each year. The first is in January and this one is THE show....all the scrapping companies put out their new products. Mid July there is a 2nd show and although there is a lot of new stuff out, it isnt as big as January's show.

So, that being said...the summer show is next week. But some of the companies have their new stuff ready to hit the shelves (other stuff we have to wait a few months....).

Kari was able to get a few of the NEW items in at the store already!

Anyone up for Winter pages???? 3 Bugs in a Rug have released Snow Much Fun....it is adorable! Love these little guys! Check it out in store now.

How about summer renos or projects around the house? 3 Bugs in a Rug has also released Tool Time. A perfect paper for all the projects going on around home and beyond. Can you see the boy/guy layout potential with these papers? I can!

Last but not least, Mr Tim Holtz has done it again! Tissue Tape. Check it out at the store :)
